  astil strives to create a space in which people of all ages, genders, sexualities, ethnicities, and communities feel accepted seen and cared for. we may all have our differences, but there’s an element of the human experience which ties us all together: emotions. by de-stigmatizing taboo conversations surrounding mental-health and struggle as a whole, astil hopes to create an environment where people of all walks of life feel connected through their pain and their triumphs.

astil was born in sao paulo, brazil and was raised there for some part of their life. although growing up in the united states, astil still heavily identifies with latin culture and has a very big spot in their heart for their brazilian family. having traveled all across the us, astil managed to end up in macon, georgia, where their love for music began to flourish. after many years as a self-taught musician, floating in and out of choir concerts and theatre opening nights, astil released their first single under the name 'annabella' in 2017, later going on to release their debut album 'Yellow' the next year. annabella released several singles between 'Yellow' and their second album, 'Clones' in 2021 whilst performing live every chance they got across the state. with life passing by, they began to experience some major life changes come college. 'annabella' began to fade, no longer connecting to the music or image that they had painted of themself in the past. thus astil was created to better fit the collect image they had envisioned for their music.
